This is the dog. I’ve known him for almost ten years now. We often sit together and discuss philosophy. He is a loyal companion and although he can be territorial at times, I find no unpleasant traces of nationalism in him. Only his coprophagous leanings are somewhat off-putting.
I think this is the most charming, compact mini-essay I’ve ever read. With so few words, you have expressed a great deal (knowing the dog in question made it even more piquant). I even had to resort to my dictionary, and that doesn’t happen often these days! If there’s ever a competition for an engaging essay of 100 words or less, you would win!
I think I’m going to need a bigger hat.
May I recommend the Tilley Store? I’m sure they have hats that would accommodate you. 😉
Excellent!
