Can anyone identify the bush this little fellow is perched on? (Click the image to view a larger version.)

  • Hello,
I love these kind of birds, every winter we can see a lot of them in our garden (South of France) because we give them some seeds with lard. And since 4 or 5 springs we have a couple of great tit making their nest in an old cast iron water pump. In my opinion here the bush is an hawthorn (aubépine in French) : http://www.lepetitherboriste.net/photos/aubepine2.html
The fruits on your picture are not ripe yet that’s why they are green instead of red as the picture on the link.

    • Thanks for the information! I appreciate your comments and the link. I will have another look at the bush when the berries ripen.
